Fee breakdown
Vinted US
- Selling fee (Vinted charges sellers no selling fee)$0.00
- Buyer side: Vinted fee (usually 5% + $0.70)$2.70
- Buyer pays shipping and the Vinted fee (usually 5% + $0.70), so the same price costs your buyer more than on platforms with no buyer fee.
Poshmark
- Poshmark fee (20% of $40.00)$8.00
- Buyer side: No buyer fee (removed Oct 2024)$0.00
- Buyer pays the flat Posh Post label (up to 5 lb).
Label estimate: $8.24 (USPS Ground Advantage, commercial, zone 5) for eBay, Depop and Whatnot; Mercari's own label: $7.39. Poshmark uses its flat $6.49 label. Vinted buyers normally pay the prepaid label.
Highest payout isn't the whole story. On Vinted the buyer pays $40.00 + a Vinted fee (~5% + $0.70 = $2.70) + shipping, so the same price costs your buyer more there, which can mean slower sales. Depop and Mercari buyers pay fees too; eBay, Poshmark and Whatnot list no buyer fee. Compare the “Buyer pays” column.

FAQ
Is Vinted cheaper than Poshmark for sellers?
Yes, on fees. Vinted US charges sellers nothing, while Poshmark takes a flat $2.95 on sales under $15 and 20% on sales of $15 or more. On a $40 sale you keep $40.00 on Vinted and $32.00 on Poshmark.
Who pays shipping on Vinted and Poshmark?
On both, the buyer normally pays shipping and the seller gets a prepaid label. Poshmark uses a flat Posh Post label (up to 5 lb); Vinted's shipping price varies with carrier, size and distance. On Poshmark, sellers pay label upgrades for packages over 5 lb.
Do buyers pay extra fees on Vinted or Poshmark?
Vinted buyers pay a Vinted fee, usually 5% + $0.70 ($2.70 on a $40 item). Poshmark lists no buyer fee, so Poshmark buyers pay the item price, shipping and tax. The same price therefore costs a Vinted buyer more, which can slow a sale.
Where does Poshmark's $15 line matter?
Right at the switch. A $14.99 sale costs $2.95 (flat), while $15.00 costs $3.00 (20%), so you keep slightly less at $15.00 than at $14.99.
Should I list on both?
Many resellers do. Fees decide what you keep per sale; where your buyers are decides whether it sells. Compare payouts for your item with the calculator on this page, then decide where to list first.
